Hartvig Nissen School is a upper-secondary high school in Oslo, Norway, which a majority of the characters of Skam attend.
History
The school is located in the Uranienborg neighborhood of Oslo, and was founded in 1849, originally as an all-girls school. For many years the students at the school have participated in Russefiering.

Throughout all four seasons the main characters attend the school five days a week, with the end of the day usually around 3 to 4 pm. Most scenes take place in the schoolyard but there have also been scenes in the biology classroom, most notably between Isak and Sana in Season 3. Several scenes have also taken place at the school library, the cafeteria or in form rooms.
Some of the subjects that have been mentioned include Norwegian, English, Spanish, German, Social sciences and Biology.
